Donociks work draws from several influences and is said to redefine jewellery for the contemporary accessory wearer. Its also stated that he is unrestricted by the constraints of traditional jewellery design and that his work aims to challenge the idea of self adornment.

Shaun Leane
Shaun Leane had a long standing partnership with the late Alexander McQueen as well as one of kind partnerships with the likes of Givenchy and artist Sam Taylor Wood but to name a few. His work has been displayed in various galleries and museums and has been described as provocative, boundary pushing and some pieces as iconic milestones in the art of couture jewellery.
Fashion Photography
I would like to present my final piece in a photograph as I feel it would help to support the piece as well as show the piece as a fashion item. I feel a tight beauty styled photograph with a white background would work well. I have looked at few online resources for how to's etc and I will determine exactly how I want to photograph the item when I have finished making it.

To Add to My Proposal
I have been thinking more about the idea of what wearable means in relation to 'fashion' items, so i looked up the meaning of wearable;
adjectives - suitable for wear or able to be worn.
any garment that can be worn.
noun - a covering designed to be worn on a persons body.
I also looked at websites and blogs that discussed the idea of 'fashion' and its wearability. I came across a quote that I thought was interesting;
'To call a fashion wearable is the kiss of death. No new fashion worth its salt is ever wearable'
New York Herald Tribune
I liked the idea that 'fashion' unlike clothing or a normal accessories seemed exempt from constraints and could be whatever the designer wanted.But it also made me think more about the fact women especially will wear 'fashion' items regardless of comfort or practicality.
To add to my original proposal I am making a fashion accessory that is angular/ modular that is uncomfortable to wear (and obviously so) due to its angular style. I am hoping that the piece will start a conversation or at least make people think about the idea of what makes something wearable or unwearable. I definately want to use acrylic sheet to make the accessory as its light weight, rigid and has a glossy/ slick surface.
